Style: Foundation (non profit-making private corporation, legally recognised with decree n. 4/R/81/LEG of the President of the Lombardia Regional Council).
Organization: Foundation is managed by a board of directors in which there are representatives of the following Corporations: Regione Lombardia, Fondazione Cariplo, some others corporations, associations and institutions.
Purposes: Professional training of young and adults people in outdoor plant, pot flower, fruit and vegetable growing as well as gardening and landscaping;
Research and experimentation in the flower, fruit and vegetable growing field as well as nursery and environment;
Advisory service, by means of scientific, technical and agronomic initiatives;
Services and collaboration with corporations and foreign Universities;
Projects of international cooperation.
Instruments/ Operative structure: The organising units are:
1 The professional training centre (School)
2 The MiRT Centre (Research and Services)
3 The horticultural centre (Horticultural Farm)
Certifications: The Foundation has obtained the “ISO9001” certification of its own Quality System regarding “the planning services and supply of professional training services, research, experimentation and technical advice in flower, fruit, outdoor plant and vegetable growing, gardening and environment management.”
